About Tammy

New England Brunch.jpg

Tammy Donroe Inman is a Boston-area author, photographer, cooking instructor, mushroom hunter, rooftop gardener, and roller skater. She's been called other things, too.

A graduate of Tufts University and the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Inman sharpened her knives in the test kitchen of Cook's Illustrated magazine and the PBS television show America's Test Kitchen. After that, she worked as a writer and editor for Boston magazine. Inman's work has also been featured in The Boston Globe, Fine Cooking, Parents, Yankee Magazine, Tufts Magazine, Cape Cod Life, and Serious Eats. Her blog, Food on the Food, was praised by The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, Edible Boston, and Saveur.com.

Her newest cookbook New England Brunch comes out April 2025, a follow-up to her award-winning cookbook New England Desserts. Her debut cookbook Wintersweet: Seasonal Desserts to Warm the Home received rave reviews from The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, and USA Today. She also released Twitterati Cryptograms: 350 Snarky Ciphers for Social Media Junkies, which has been panned by the elderly on Amazon for language unbecoming of a gentlewoman.

She's currently at work on her next project.
